For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. II Corinthians 1:20
I am so thankful for the Word of God. I am privileged, as are many of you, to own several copies of the Bible. The guide to all we will face in this life. The older I get, the more I realize how much I have learned to examine and depend on the many promises found in God's Word! The more you rely on them and run to His Word to find them, the more it will become second nature to hold fast to them. I'm thankful that His promises are tried and true. No matter what we are facing, we can rest and rejoice in the sure promises.
I am thankful for the Scripture we have been given to sustain us in this life.
Here are a few taken from the same book in the Bible.
"...With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible." - Matthew 19:26b
"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." - Matthew 7:7
"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away." - Matthew 24;35
The list of God’s promises could go on and on. Go read them; embrace them; walk in them; and most of all, thank God for them. So many wonderful promises are given to us through His Word. As we get close to the Lord's return, let’s fill our hearts and minds with His promises. They will be our lifeline as we navigate through all the ups and downs of life. Stand on His promises.
Remind yourself often of these promises.
